Welcome visitor to the Astral Carnival, guest number: "Astral Carnival" is a phrase I take from the work of Dr. David R. Hawkins and give my own shading. Dr. Hawkins passed on September 19th of 2012. His brilliance and compassionate wisdom were an inspiration that will shine into the ages. By shading, I mean to suggest a link to the very old term "Shades" for spirits of the dead, earth spirits , tricksters, and the multitude of other shadowy entities. In modern terminology, the headliners of The Astral Carnival would be UFOs and Orbs. All of these are the direct or indirect subject of the research on this website. |

| "GHOSTWALKER" was a video featured on Whitley Streiber's DREAMLAND radio show and the Jeff Rense Program. It's now out of print, but selected scenes are featured in my paranormal subjected poem "Melinda" on YouTube under my username Alan Meyer. "Alan Meyer has compiled a truly wonderful video record of this eerie and provocative phenomenon. Some of the images he has captured are awe-inspiringly mysterious. Memorable indeed." Whitley Streiber. Best Selling author and DREAMLAND host.

Orbs surround Dr. Hawkins during his seminar in Henderson, NV. Note that the image on the brightest orb resembles a face with its tongue sticking out. The tricksters of the Astral Carnival can be clowns, too. (Photo by Sonia Martin) DOWSING AND APPLIED KINESIOLOGY

One of the most interesting and intriguing videos I've ever seen ... an amazing feat of video research. I don't know how anyone could look at this without coming away stunned." Jeff Rense, host of the Jeff Rense Program on the Talk Radio Network.
TESTIMONY AS AN EYEWITNESS EXAMINING THE MUMMY OF A LEGENDARY RED-HAIRED GIANT. In the late 1950s my family visited the area of Lovelock, NV. I was ten or eleven years old and saw a sign advertising a "Giant Mummy" at a small museum and talked my parents into stopping to see it. Inside a glass case, the dried body of male, well over eight feet tall was displayed. As I recall, he wore a rough tunic and leggings, but I paid little attention to his clothing, so I can't say more about that. His hair was long and uncombed with a brown/red tint, but looked like it had a lot of dirt in it. The face was so dried and withered it made the "Cryptkeeper" I'd seen in comics seem handsome. There was a monsterous quality that frightened me, so I didn't look at it very long. What I found fascinating were the hands. They were huge and more perfectly preserved than the face. I had very accute vision in those youthful days and I could see the whorls in the thumbprints, pores and hairs in the skin, and the underlying bones. There were even scars. There was no fakery. My father was upset and, I think, frightened by the giant. He insisted it was a fake, but I pointed out the hands as evidence it wasn't. He got angry with me and the woman running the museum. She said that it might be a fake, to calm him, but from the look she gave me, I knew she agreed with me. I've heard the mummy was still on display long after that, but has since disappeared. |

Hawkins makes the following statement on page 392 of his new book TRUTH VS FALSEHOOD, "These experiences of astral fields of consciousness have been similar throughout the ages and recur repeatedly with the same negative scenerios." After decades of exploring this Astral Carnival, I concur with Dr. Hawkins. Experiences of the paranormal are, with rare exceptions, encounters with the astral and the beings of that realm. These are the entities known to traditional cultures as "tricksters" who delight in fooling and manipulating the naive. This is a fascinating area of research, but one where some have lost their way in the house of mirrors in this Astral Carnival. Dr. Hawkins' approach to discerning truth from falsehood can be light on this shadowy path. INTUITION, verified by the calibration of truth as taught by Dr. Hawkins, is the key to accessing INFORMATION. With the proper tools we can learn to tap this source. DOWSING is one such tool. My ancestors practiced this art for centuries. After my great-grandfather was disabled by the wounds he suffered during the Civil War, he used the dowsing skills his father taught him to make a living in pioneer Iowa. My grandfather and father continued this family tradition of helping farmers find water throughout the Midwest Dust Bowl. Dowsing and haunting are important elements of my novel DHARMA DIAMONDS. Much of DHARMA DIAMONDS is based on my personal experiences with the unknown. The novel is now available in both paperback and digital formats.
