The Unknown Zone Investigations

This page presents photos and stills from investigations featured on the upcoming tv show The Unknown Zone, with Chris and Nancy Peterson, the Utah Ghost Hunters who introduced me to paranormal investigation.

This November 2002 investigation of a Northern Utah Antique shop and art gallery was taped by Rogue Entertainment as a segment for the exciting, new investigative series, The Unknown Zone.

These photos and this Unknown Zone investigation were the initial source for a large part of Linda Dunning's fascinating book LOST LANDSCAPES.

The Lady in White moves from her room to the stairs.
She is said to be a lonely spirit who takes comfort in the beautiful things displayed in this exclusive shop and gallery.
The White Lady of the Stairway makes her presence known.
This is the first of a series of three photos I took within two minutes of each other. It is rare to capture ectoplasm on a digital camera, but in these shots the moving ecto form can be clearly seen moving across the head of the stair. The shop owner informed us that she and several others have frequently seen the spirit of a young Victorian era woman, dressed in white, on this stairway.

Here the Lady in White stands at the top of the stairs.
Ectoplasm is the mysterious material which spirits use in an attempt to take form. Often what appears to be a pattern of strange smoke or mist in photographs may take take on human form through the eyes of psychic.

These photos were all taken from the foot of the stairs, before we began our investigation of the second floor.
Perhaps the lonely, young woman in white was welcoming us to her domain.

She seems to hover over the Christmas tree.

She starts down the stairs toward the visitors.
This lady is one of two spirits known to reside here. There is also and older male who is reclusive and didn't show himself during this investigation. We could, however, feel the presence of both here. Neither felt threatening and seem to be happy here with the beautiful objects and the warm personality of the shop's owner.
