This my response to the "orbs are only dust close to the lens" argument put forth by debunkers.
I've demonstrated in my GHOSTWALKER video that it's very easy to tell the difference between paranormal orbs and dust on video. The independent movement and response of these orbs is clearly different from drifting specks of dust. Admittedly, still photos don't allow that difference to be seen. Therefore, other characteristics of a haunted location, such as cold spots, unexplained voice recordings (EVP) and ectoplasmic or vortex images should be associated with the site to verify the paranormal nature of the photographed orbs. All of the photos on this site have such additional verification.

This photo was taken by a friend shortly after the death of her father. The face which appears faintly on the right half of a smiling image of the deceased. It was taken on a disposeable 35mm camera and the negative shows the same images. On the right half of the picture are excellent examples of ectoplasm and an opaque, orange orb. There were other personal encounters the family had with their deceased father and I videotaped "live" orb activity there on more than one occasion.
The streaking movement of some of the orbs in the photo below demonstrates, as well as is possible in a still photo, the way genuine paranormal orbs can move rapidly and independently of the air currents which would push dust about. These photos were taken at the Medals Plaza for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. I believe they confirm my conclusion that paranormal orbs manifest in areas of intense emotional energy, sad or happy. |

This was taken on a disposable camera at a family party.
The faint smiling face in the center is the recently deceased grandfather. |
The lighter orbs are the type debunkers reject as dust, but not the blue flare near the center of the picture. I have seen bright blue, fast moving orbs, similar to this one, and so have many other reliable witnesses.
A beam of blue energy, very much like this one, also appears in my wide shot of the Teton Crop Circle.

The bright light form in the lower left corner may also be a vortex.
Its size and brightness indicate it was very close to the camera.
